Ryan Lochte‘s ex-wife, Kayla Rae Reid, has accused the swimming legend of cheating on her with his new girlfriend – likening his alleged behavior to that of Khloe Kardashian‘s ex Tristan Thompson.
The 34-year-old former Playboy Playmate made the explosive claims during Monday’s episode of her podcast, The Comeback Era, where she detailed the pain of the swimmer’s alleged betrayals.
The accusations surfaced when Reid’s co-host, Caroline Lunny, accidentally referred to Lochte’s current girlfriend, Molly Gillihan, as the Olympian’s ‘mistress’.
‘Your technically still-husband is already living with his girlfriend,’ Reid’s co-host Lunny said.
‘I’m so happy for him,’ Reid replied with heavy sarcasm. ‘They’ve been happy for a very long time. Very long time. For many years. They go way back.’
Reid filed for divorce from the 12-time Olympic medalist in March 2025 after seven years of marriage and the proceedings have since descended into a series of public jabs and legal filings.

The real estate agent confessed during the episode that she is currently ‘afraid of dating’ because of the sheer volume of women who were messaging Lochte while they were still together.
‘Sadly, it happened a lot,’ Reid told her co-host while reflecting on their marriage. ‘I noticed it happened while I was pregnant or postpartum.’
‘You’re at such a vulnerable place, you feel so uncomfortable in your own body, and you just want to feel beautiful and loved and catered to. But it’s like he was fishing elsewhere.’
The comparison to Tristan Thompson arose when Lunny brought up the NBA star’s high-profile infidelities, prompting Reid to admit she ‘sobbed’ because she related so deeply to Khloe Kardashian.
‘I just felt so connected to her for some reason,’ Reid said. ‘I know those feelings that she was feeling so much.’
Thompson famously cheated on Kardashian in April 2018, just days before their daughter True was born, and later fathered a child with another woman while they were expecting a second baby via surrogate.
Reid and Lochte share three children of their own: Caiden, 8, Liv, 6, and Georgia, 2. The couple’s split was officially announced in June 2025, three months after the initial filing.
At the time, Reid wrote in a lengthy Instagram post that she made the ‘hard decision to end my marriage after deep prayer and reflection’ following a season she described as ‘painful’ and ‘challenging.’
While she hinted at ‘betrayal’ in that initial announcement, Lochte was spotted cozying up to Gillihan shortly after, though he has adamantly denied any overlap between the two relationships.

Earlier this year, the 41-year-old swimmer confirmed he had moved into a new home with Gillihan, a 37-year-old kindergarten teacher, and her three children.
‘I fell in love with someone who shares those same values and who has three children of her own,’ Lochte told People in January, describing their new life as a ‘family of six kids.’
‘She’s my best friend, our kids have formed an incredible bond, and it became clear that being together under one roof was the right next step for all of us,’ he added.
However, the ‘blended family’ bliss has been marred by Reid’s recent claims that her estranged husband is not the father their children ‘deserve.’
Gillihan appeared to fire back at the realtor via Instagram just one day later, posting a message directed at ‘harsh’ and ‘unkind people’ who speak out against others.
‘Don’t regret being a good person to [them],’ Lochte’s new girlfriend wrote. ‘Your actions say everything about you, and their words and actions say everything about them.’
She concluded her post by urging followers to ‘stay kind, even when they don’t deserve it,’ adding that ‘God will take care of it.’
