Buffalo Bills star Keon Coleman was caught talking to the team’s minority owner Tracy McGrady on the field after being benched for the second consecutive game.
The wide receiver was benched for last Sunday’s clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers being listed a healthy scratch for the very first time in his career after being later for a team meeting.
Just four days later, the 22-year-old was also scratched for the Bills’ shock loss to the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
And before Thursday’s road defeat in Houston, Coleman and NBA Hall of Famer McGrady were seen deep in an animated conversation.
While it is unclear what was said between the pair, in a video shared by WKBW’s Matthew Bove, McGrady was captured repeatedly gesturing towards Coleman as the discussion rumbled on for ‘several minutes.’
McGrady is part of a Bill minority ownership group including fellow NBA Hall of Famer Vince Carter and former USA soccer striker Jozy Altidore.

Coleman was benched for a second straight game after missing a team meeting last week
On Sunday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz said the decision to drop Coleman is not ‘performance-based’ and, rather, because ‘the team wants to see more from him in other areas’.
Schultz claimed that Coleman had in-fact ‘had a strong week of practice’ in the lead-up to the game but, ultimately, will spend the afternoon on the sidelines.
The 2024 NFL Draft pick has had a strong season thus far for the Bills, with 32 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bills struggled on Thursday night as quarterback Josh Allen was sacked eight times by Houston – the most of any game in his career – as Buffalo’s playoff hopes were dented by a 23-19 loss. ‘Not fun,’ he said. At one point, Allen slammed his helmet and appeared to shout: ‘What are we doing?’
The game took its toll, with referee Adrian Hill needing to be carted off the field after suffering a serious injury in the second half.
And Bills fans were given a serious scare earlier in the game, when Allen was hit from behind by Texans defensive end Will Anderson.
The quarterback was sent crashing to the turf – landing heavily on his front – and could immediately be seen rolling around in pain.
After receiving attention from the Bills medical team, the quarterback was able to walk to the sidelines.
He played the rest of the game but Allen was seen nursing his left arm a number of times. And afterwards, the Bills star revealed his left shoulder went ‘a little numb.’
