Jadon Sancho has rejected an Old Trafford escape route, with the £250,000-a-week star looking set to remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

Italian giants Roma were ready to lodge a £20million bid for the winger, who has been cast aside by boss Ruben Amorim and told to find a new club.

Turkish club Besiktas were said to be interested in the £80m flop, but Sancho is yet to return their call.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano took to his X account to confirm the news: “Jadon Sancho, currently not accepting AS Roma proposal and not even in talks with Besiktas now.

“No agreement between Sancho and Roma on personal terms, despite Man United ready to accept £20m bid.

“Besiktas deal in stand-by as Sancho won’t consider Turkey before September.”

Just last week, an innocuous post from Sancho of the Manchester United star on holiday was bombarded by Besiktas fans demanding the winger move to Turkey.

So much was the support from the Turkish fans that Sancho’s post landed him in the top five most commented posts ever on Instagram. Around 5.6million fans flocked to the post imploring Sancho to make the move.

The news comes after the winger failed to come to an agreement with Chelsea following his loan spell there last campaign.

The Blues had a £25m option-to-buy clause in his contract, one they intended to activate should they agree contractual terms with the former Borussia Dortmund playmaker, but failed to do so given Sancho’s wage demands.

Sancho netted five times in 41 appearances at Stamford Bridge last campaign.
