Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have confirmed they will step into the ring once more, with their highly anticipated professional rematch scheduled for Saturday, 19 September at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The bout will be broadcast globally via Netflix.
This encounter comes more than a decade after their original meeting, which took place in May 2015 and was dubbed the ‘Fight of the Century’.
Mayweather, now 48, secured victory on that occasion through a unanimous decision over his Filipino rival.

Pacquiao, 47, will be seeking revenge in what promises to be one of the most significant boxing events of the year.
Pacquiao expressed his determination ahead of the September showdown, declaring: “Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history.”
The Filipino icon insisted supporters had been patient long enough and were entitled to witness this rematch.
He made clear his ambition to inflict a defeat on Mayweather’s pristine professional record.
“I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him,” Pacquiao stated.

| GETTYThe eight-division world champion also dedicated the forthcoming contest to his compatriots across the globe, pledging to bring honour to the Philippines.
Mayweather responded with characteristic self-assurance, stating: “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”
The American retired from professional boxing with a flawless 50-0 record, having claimed 15 major world titles across five weight divisions.
His final professional contest took place in August 2017, when he defeated UFC star Conor McGregor via tenth-round technical knockout.
The 48-year-old, who celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, announced last week that he would be emerging from retirement for a fourth time.
He has participated in several exhibition bouts during the intervening years since hanging up his gloves professionally.
Both veterans have been active in recent months as they prepare for this blockbuster encounter.

Mayweather, meanwhile, is scheduled to face former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout on 25 April in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Pacquiao also has an exhibition lined up, meeting Ruslan Provodnikov over ten rounds in Las Vegas on 18 April.
Their 2015 clash saw Mayweather prevail with scores of 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112, though Pacquiao subsequently claimed he had been carrying a shoulder injury throughout the bout.
