The Kansas City Chiefs are trading star cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in a stunning NFL move.

McDuffie, 25, has been with the Chiefs since he was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.

He has won two Super Bowls under Andy Reid but now the Chiefs are finalizing a deal to send him to Los Angeles.

In exchange, Kansas City will receive four draft picks including the 29th selection this year. The Chiefs are also set to earn fifth- and sixth-round picks in next month’s draft, as well as a third-round pick in 2027.

The Rams still own the No 13 pick this year, thanks to a draft-day swap with the Falcons in 2025.

Over four seasons in Kansas City, McDuffie has established himself as one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

And his exit has not gone down well with Patrick Mahomes. ‘Damn,’ the Chiefs quarterback wrote on social media shortly after the news broke.

According to ESPN, McDuffie is expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams, who narrowly missed out on the Super Bowl.
