The driver at the wheel during the fatal crash involving boxing star Anthony Joshua appeared before a Nigerian court this Wednesday.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, attended Sagamu Magistrates Court in Ogun State to face multiple charges stemming from the December incident.
Prosecutors have accused him of causing death by dangerous driving, reckless and negligent driving, operating a vehicle without due care, and driving without a valid licence.
The hearing was brief, with the case postponed until 13th March.

Court officials heard that the prosecution requires additional time to compile their evidence file.
Kayode has not yet entered a plea to any of the charges.
The tragedy unfolded on 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, one of Nigeria’s most heavily trafficked routes.
Joshua’s personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami, both aged 36, lost their lives when the Lexus SUV in which they were travelling struck a stationary lorry.
The former heavyweight champion sustained injuries in the collision but survived.
Investigators have indicated the vehicle was moving at considerable speed prior to impact.

He subsequently returned to Britain, where he attended the funerals of his two close friends and colleagues.
Should the court find him guilty, Kayode faces the prospect of life imprisonment.
The 46-year-old first appeared before magistrates on 20th January, when he was granted bail set at approximately £2,600.
He was released from custody whilst investigations continued, though he did not speak during that initial hearing.
The prosecution has explained that the case involves numerous technical reports and witness statements connected to the collision.
Authorities indicated they need further time to complete their evidence file before proceedings can advance.

Joshua narrowly escaped death in the collision and has since been completing rehabilitation following his return to the United Kingdom in early January.
The 36-year-old has spoken movingly about the devastating loss of his two closest associates.
“I’ve lost people before, but I don’t think I’ve lost people like that, my left and my right,” he said, revealing the trio had lived together and built their lives side by side.
