Chargers offensive lineman Ben Cleveland has agreed to pay his estranged wife over half a million dollars to settle their divorce and finally end a contentious legal battle.

The 27-year-old NFL star will pay Kaitlyn Terrell Cleveland a lump sum of $550,000 to finalize the split, according to court records obtained by The California Post.

The settlement, filed in Georgia in late January, includes Ben agreeing to pay off a 2024 Land Rover which will remain in Kaitlyn’s possession.

In exchange for the payout, Kaitlyn has agreed to relinquish her rights to various real estate holdings previously owned by the couple.

The agreement also outlines a specific division of personal property, with Ben giving up rights to a golf cart, rugs, pillows and kitchen dishes.

Kaitlyn, meanwhile, is required to return a gun and thermal scope to the NFL player, while allowing him to retain possession of two properties in Georgia.

The settlement marks the end of a turbulent period for Cleveland, who first initiated divorce proceedings in February 2025.

The filing came just days after the lineman was arrested for DUI, with Cleveland initially alleging adultery as the reason for the separation.

Kaitlyn strongly denied those cheating allegations in subsequent court filings, and the pair have since agreed to a strict non-disparagement clause.

Both parties are now prohibited from making ‘any disparaging comments’ or posting about one another on any social media platforms moving forward.

While a judge has yet to officially sign off on the deal, Cleveland filed a motion last week to expedite the process and move on.

The couple originally wed in July 2022 before calling it quits on December 29, 2024, after just over two years of marriage.

Kaitlyn’s attorney, J. Chase Wilson, declined to elaborate on the details, citing the strict confidentiality terms of the settlement agreement.

The offensive guard played 64 games in Baltimore before being waived this past January following a three-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

The Chargers acted quickly to pick him up, signing him to their practice squad just days after he was ousted by the Ravens.

Cleveland has since signed a futures contract with Los Angeles that is reportedly set to pay him just over $1 million for the 2026 season.

The payout to his ex-wife represents more than half of his projected annual salary as he looks for a fresh start in California.

Despite the high-profile nature of the split, neither Ben nor Kaitlyn has made any public comments regarding the end of their marriage.

Cleveland also reached a plea deal late last year to close out the DUI case that coincided with the initial breakdown of the relationship.
