Golf glamour girl and influencer Paige Spiranac revealed that the sport responsible for her rise to fame led to some mental health issues that led to her entering therapy.

During a fan Q&A on her Instagram story on Sunday, the golfer and model revealed that she had a ‘love-hate relationship’ with the sport.

‘I’ve always said that golf is the reason I’m in therapy, and it’s also my therapy,’ she said.

‘It can be so infuriating at times where you just want to quit and never want to look at your golf clubs ever again.

‘But then when I am stressed, or frustrated, or going through something, there is nothing more relaxing than just going to the range, putting my music on and just beating balls for hours.’

When one of her followers mentioned that each round presents its own challenges, Spiranac agreed.

‘This is why golf is so addicting and also why I have such a love-hate relationship with the game,’ she said.

‘Because you can be standing on the first tee, do everything correctly… and you could just have the best round of your life or the worst.

‘You never know what you’re going to get. It’s full of surprises but it always keeps you coming back for more.’

The 32-year-old Spiranac has been honest about her mental health issues, admitting to suffering from ‘severe social anxiety’ while dealing with the spotlight.

Spiranac previously revealed she was ‘in a bit of a funk’ while attempting to work through her struggles during an Instagram Q&A last month.

She explained that a recent step back from social media was because Spiranac felt ‘like my anxiety has taken control’ and led to her ‘overthinking everything.’
