Tom Brady sparks Patriots fury with another Super Bowl betrayal after New England’s defeat

NFL legend Tom Brady has risked further wrath from New England fans after his texts to Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald after Super Bowl LX were revealed.

At the start of the month, Seattle lifted their second-ever Super Bowl title after beating the Patriots 29-13 in their showdown at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The defeat was a crushing blow for New England fans and made worse by the fact Patriots legend Brady seemed to distance himself from the team in the build-up.

Despite his legendary 20-year stint in New England, just days before the game, Brady bizarrely admitted: ‘I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one’.

He eventually backtracked on those claims after uproar from within the Patriots fanbase, before watching on as New England fell to defeat on the day.

Though it seemed that Patriots fans had forgiven Brady for his comments, the seven-time Super Bowl winner stoked the fire once again after it was revealed he texted Seahawks head coach Macdonald and congratulated him on the victory.

Seahawks Head Coach Mike Macdonald Revealed That Brady Sent Him A Congratulatory Text

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald revealed that Brady sent him a congratulatory text

On The Rich Eisen Show, Macdonald was asked about how many texts he received after leading Seattle to their second-ever Super Bowl title.

The 38-year-old replied: ‘Not as many as you’d probably think! A couple hundred.’

Eisen then pressed him for names, to which Macdonald revealed: ‘Tom Brady texted me, that was cool. Peyton Manning [as well].’

He went on to reveal that it was in fact a congratulatory text from the Patriots legend, before joking that he replied to Brady: ‘Thanks for stealing our OC’.

Just days after Seattle’s victory, Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders swooped in and hired Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their head coach.

Macdonald’s revelations have quickly gone viral on social media, with Patriots fans venting their fury with their former signal caller.

One wrote on X: ‘Nice of Tom Brady to congratulate MacDonald for Seattle’s well-earned championship. Equally true that Brady doesn’t want the Patriots to be successful w/o him. Unfortunate that he’s as insecure as he was successful.’

‘Brady’s ego can’t bear to see the Patriots win games without him,’ another wrote.

‘It’s so funny how Brady wants nothing more than the Pats to fail now,’ said one fan.

The Raiders Were Reportedly Looking For Tom Brady's (Pictured) Qualities When Hiring Klint Kubiak
Kubiak Was Confirmed As The Raiders' New Head Coach Last Week

The Raiders were reportedly looking for Tom Brady’s (L) qualities when hiring Klint Kubiak (R)

Earlier this month, the Raiders officially named Kubiak as their new head coach just hours after he orchestrated a Super Bowl victory for the Seahawks.

It has since been revealed that Brady, who owns a minority stake in the franchise, had an active role in the hiring of Kubiak, being vocal about the qualities he believed the team should be looking for and joining the candidate interviews.

And it appears that a lot of those qualities ‘mirrored’ the former quarterback’s own characteristics.

The Raiders were said to have been looking for someone who was ‘hard-working, who had created a high level of accountability and discipline, and could lead,’ according to Sports Illustrated

Kubiak’s commitment to the Seahawks’ Super Bowl quest was also believed to have been a big draw for the powers-that-be in Las Vegas.
